An absolutely fitting tribute to mark the retirement of not only a Blyth Spartans legend, but also an icon of non-league too. Retiring in October 2020, Robbie chalked up 212 goals from an all-time club record of 680 appearances.

Making his debut with a hat-trick way back in 2005 against Wakefield and Emley, Robbie went on to play 17 consecutive seasons picking up numerous club and individual accolades at local and national level.

Captaining the club from 2014 to 2020, he tormented full backs in his left wing role and even filled in as goalkeeper when needed

Robbie was named second in the Northern Premier's greatest-ever players - pipped only to top spot by Premier League striker and former England international Jamie Vardy.

In amazing news, Rob announced that he is to come out of retirement for another season!!!

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue Pele tower up a remote hill or a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
