This is the Ben Wyvis trig point (1046m) near Dingwall. Ben Wyvis is a Munro category mountain. A great deal of care must be taken when navigating on the mountain and suitable clothing must be worn.
From the car park, head north east, following the marked path. The path goes over a footbridge, then turns right and heads up alongside the river.
There is a clear footpath with excellent views up to An Cabar and Ben Wyvis to the left.
Keep heading southeast, until the path starts to zig zag up to An Cabar.
The final ascent to An Cabar is quite steep, but the views back over to Little Wyvis are excellent.
An Cabar is a Munro Top, just in case you are hill bagging. A nice little (well, not so little) bonus hill.
Leave An Cabar behind and head northeast over the whale back towards the summit trig and wind shelter.
After 2km you will reach the Ben Wyvis trig point. Unfortunately, I didn't get a view at the summit as the weather closed in.
It is 7.5km with 925m of ascent to reach the trig point of Ben Wyvis.

I have been a keen hill walker for many years and more recently enjoy trig bagging. When I'm not exploring Northumberland, County Durham and Yorkshire, I spend most of my holidays in bonny Scotland. Other than hills, I love investigating ruinous buildings and waterfalls. I have been a member of NT and EH for years, which also gives me access to Historic Environment Scotland places.
