After approximately 2km, watch out for a footpath on the left heading East.
Follow this path, skirting a tree plantation on the right.
When you reach the tarmac track, turn right.
This will take you to an open area with piles of manure and bark.
Walk around the pile of manure on the left hand side.
The trig pillar is hidden in the hedge on the left .
This route is 2.5km with very little ascent.
