The Earls Seat trig point is sitting on Campsie Fells (578m) near Strathblane.

This is the Earls Seat trig point sitting on the Campsie Fells (578m) near Dumgoyne.
Staff at the Distillery guard the car park, so you will need to park in the layby slightly to the north, or another layby further north again.
Cross the road and then the field to the right of the Distillery. There is a grassy path that takes you to Dumgoyne, the steep hill in front of you.
Stay to the left of Dumgoyne, passing around the bottom of the hill, heading north east.
The path takes you past the Canny Tops which offer fantastic views over the Trossochs. Continue on the path heading north east.
As you reach Gairloch Hill, the excellent views continue. Once you reach the Ballagan Tops, the path turns to the south east and the trig point comes into view.
If you fancy the best view in the background, you will need to climb over the fence.
It is just over 5km with 620m of ascent to the trig point.

There is parking in the layby on the A81. If it is full there is another further up the road.
