This is the Ord Ban trig point which sits above Loch an Eilein (428m) near Aviemore.
From the Loch an Eilein car park, use the ladder stile next to the large gate to the east of the car park.
The path zig zags through the beautiful birch wood.
As you climb higher, the views over Loch an Eilein and the Cairngorms begin to appear.
As you reach the end of the path, you need to scramble up the rocky outcrop, so please take care.
Follow the path and the trig point soon comes into view.
It is a great spot to relax after your scramble and take in the views.
If you have the energy, you might want to wander down and visit Loch an Eilein Castle.
It is 1km with 170m of ascent, including a short scramble, to reach the Ord Ban trig point.
