This is Blackford Hill Trig point (164m) which sits on a hill near Edinburgh.
The parking is next to the Royal Observatory which you could visit before or after your short walk.
From the car park, walk around the southern side of the Observatory, heading west.
There are several paths headed NW, all of which take you to the Blackford Hills toposcope and trig point.
To the south the views offered are Allermuir Hill and the Pentland Hills.
To the north, you can see Edinburgh Castle, Firth of Forth and Arthurs Seat.
The toposcope guides you to all that can be seen in every direction.

There is parking for several cars in the Observatory Car Park.
