This is Calton Hill Trig point (103m) which sits on Calton Hill in Edinburgh City Centre.
From the multi-story car park, head NE up Greenside Row. After a short distance, take the path on the right heading up Calton Hill. You will pass the back of Greenside Parish Church on the left, turn left to visit the church or right to head straight up Calton Hill.
The path turns left and takes you straight to the top of Calton Hill.
Views over the Firth of Forth and Leith are visible from the path.
From the trig point, Arthurs Seat and the Salisbury Crags can be seen beyond The National Monument which resembles the Parthenon.
Other buildings and monuments on Calton Hill include the round Dugald Stewart Monument with its nine columns, the tall round tower of the Nelson Monument and the imposing City Observatory.
The views over Edinburgh City are far-reaching. Edinburgh Castle and the Pentland Hills are easily seen from this vantage point.
The route to the trig point is just under 1km with 60m of ascent, but it is worth wandering around and taking in the differing views in all directions.
