Become A Champion

Some places mean more than a pin on a map.

They might be where you got engaged, where you walk when you need to clear your head, somewhere you visited as a child, a favourite view, a family memory, or simply a place you love.

Championing somewhere special is a way to celebrate your connection to it while helping support Fabulous North, so we can keep discovering, writing about and sharing brilliant places across the North.

Why We Do This

Fabulous North is something we do because we love doing it. We keep the site free and clear of annoying adverts, but getting out there, photographing places, researching their stories and keeping everything running all takes time and money. Championing somewhere special helps us keep exploring while giving you a way to share why that particular place matters to you.

How To Champion A Place

Find somewhere special on Fabulous North. If it hasn't already been championed, you'll see the option to champion it on the page. Tell us whether you're championing it personally or as a business, add your details and message, then make your one-off payment. We'll check everything over before it appears on the site. Championing somewhere isn't about owning it. It's simply a way to say “this place matters to me” while helping keep Fabulous North exploring.
