Durham Riverwalk Selfie Wall

Art In Durham, County Durham

Artwork on a call of angel wings, balloons and an umbrella, set up ready for a selfie.

If you're walking on the Durham riverside and are looking for somewhere to take a selfie that isn't Durham Cathedral, then there is a smashing little place along the riverside.

The Durham Riverwalk Selfie Wall is a popular spot for people taking a snap and is located next to the Prince Bishops' Shopping Centre, close to Framwellgate Bridge.

The wall is adorned with angel wings that appear to be made from glass, a bouquet of balloons and a colourful umbrella, all ready for your selfie pose. The caption reads - This Is My Happy Place.

It was created by a local lad called Lee Ferry from Custom Artwerk. We found a picture of him posing with it just after it was finished.

Of course we had to take our own photo too. It's a lovely little find to create a magical memory.

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue pele tower up a remote hill, a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
