Trig Point In Byrness, Northumberland
The trig point sitting on Hungry Law (501m).
This is the trig point sitting on Hungry Law (501m) near the border ridge between England and Scotland.
To get there park in the layby just outside of Byrness Village and then you can pick up the permissive path straight to the trig point. Around a 3.5km walk to get there.
Some amazing views from the top.
The route is pretty much straight up all on permissive paths.
Thanks to Alice Skye for the photos.

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue Pele tower up a remote hill or a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
The last remaining hut built to accomodate the workers who constructed the Catcleugh Reservoir.
An 18th century church which was partly rebuilt in 1884. It has a window which commemorates those who died during the construction of the nearby Catcleugh Reservoir.
