This is the Roughside Moor trig point it sits on top of Edmundbyers Common (384m) near Consett.
Park at the entrance to the public right of way (PROW), just off the B6306. Follow the PROW east through Black Hill. Continue along the track passing Limerick Cottage whilst enjoying the opening views.
Where the track forks, take the right hand track. When the track makes a sharp left and carry on straight up the line of grouse butts. When the fence is reached, follow it to the right for a short distance.
At this point you should be able to see the trig point. A little fence hop is required to reach it.
The route is just over 3km to the Trig Point with 125m of ascent.
