This is the Shacklesborough trig point (454m) near Barnard Castle.

From the Reservoir Car Park, take the track up on the right.

Go through the farm yard, then turn left the follow the gravel track.

You can see where you are heading, but the track detours around the rough ground, turning right and then right again to head to Shacklesborough.

When you reach the rocky hill, take the gentle path around to the right.

The trig and impressive stone cairn can be found at the top.

This route is 2.6km with 132m of ascent.
