This is the Thorny Hill trig point (185m) in Pauperhaugh near to Rothbury.
To bag the Thorny Hill trig point, park your car at the entrance to Throat Woods and then follow the road north until you get to a fingerpost just after the farm.
Then just follow the fence line west for just under 1km and then when you get to a gate, head into the field and double back on yourself until you reath another hedge line. Head south to the trig point.
The farmer is often out and is quite chatty with visitors. Also be aware that there is regularly cattle in the area.
