The Annanhead Hill trig point sits above the Devil's Beef Tub (478m) near Moffat.

This is the Annanhead Hill trig point (478m) near Moffat.

There is a layby that accommodates a view cars and has an information board with the history of the Robert the Bruce Trail. From the layby head north west for a short distance, then take the path on the right heading up hill.

The views over the Devil's Beef Tub are incredible, a natural geological formation that is reputed for being the hiding place for cattle that was stolen by the Border Reivers.

Simply follow the path to the top of the hill and the trig along with a bench can be found. It is worth spending some time taking in the stunning views.

It is approximately 1km to the trig with 100m of ascent.
