This is the Higham Dykes trig point (93m) between Belsay and Ponteland.
This trig point is on private land in a farmer's field so please ask permission before bagging this trig.
The easiest route is to exit the car park and turn right up the road and then enter the field through the opening before doubling back on yourself to follow the tractor tracks around the outskirts of the field. Keep following the track as it hugs the A696 towards Ponteland and then walk inwards to follow the outskirts of another field. The trig point is in the hedge line.
Just follow this route to the trig, or find it on OS Maps. 1km and 6m of ascent.

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue Pele tower up a remote hill or a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
