This is the Raven Hills trig point (522m) near Middleton-in-Teesdale.
From the layby, walk east along the road. Keep an eye out for the footpath on the left.
Head up the footpath, as it passes through several fields before entering the open access land.
Once on the open access land, stay close to the boundary keeping an eye out for the trig up on the right. Once you see it, make your way through the heather as best you can.
