One of my absolute favourite places to visit in the Cheviots are the crags around Hedgehope Hill. On the north east site we have the Langlee Crags along with its friends Housey Crags, Middleton Crags, Long Crags, Tathey Crags and Steel Crag.
Langlee Crags is quite distinctive in that it has two heads of rock sticking out overlooking the Harthope Valley. There is another clump of rocks below and then a smattering of rocks spread over a few hundred metres behind.
The best thing is that once you have made the trek from the parking area up here, then you can see all of the other crags and can just make your way around them all.
Still spectacular from the ground level too.
To get here, park at the grassy area at Langleeford, cross the little bridge and then follow the path directly towards Housey Crags. As you near the top, then follow the track over to the Langlee Crags.
Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Just over 1.5km and 180m ascent.
To visit all the crags up here then follow our Crags around Hedgehope Hill and Langleeford walk.

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue pele tower up a remote hill, a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
