The trig point is pretty easy to get to. From the parking just follow the route straight and then the path around the perimeter. You will see the trig and it's just a short walk uphill. All on open access land.

From the parking, just follow the wall until you get to Salters Nick. Then follow the path left until you reach the trig point. Around 2km walk.
