This is the Winshields trig point (345m) near Haltwhistle.
From The Sill car park, turn left and walk up the road. At the junction turn right then after a short distance turn left heading N up the road towards Hadrians Wall.
Keep following the road until a path crosses the road. Take the left path heading W alongside Hadrians Wall. Continue along the wall until you reach the trig point.
We were lucky enough to make the excursion to Sycamore Gap.
This route is 2km from the car park and 120m ascent.
