The Dumyat trig point sits on the hills (419m) north east of Stirling.

Height - 0m // Bracket - // Postcode -

This is the Dumyat trig point (419m) overlooking Stirling.

From the car park, go through the pedestrian gate and follow the path to Dumyat. The path heads east and gently climbs up hill. As you continue on the path, great views over Stirling begin to open up.

We were also lucky enough to visit when there was butterflies and bee activity.

The path continues to gain height and the views over Stirling open out even further.

The views of the Wallace Monument from here are excellent.

Continue along the path and you will soon reach the trig point.

The trig point shares the summit with a large metal beacon and a memorial to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

It is 2.5km with 250m of ascent to the trig point.

Follow the above route, or follow on OS Maps.

I have been a keen hill walker for many years and more recently enjoy trig bagging. When I'm not exploring Northumberland, County Durham and Yorkshire, I spend most of my holidays in bonny Scotland. Other than hills, I love investigating ruinous buildings and waterfalls. I have been a member of NT and EH for years, which also gives me access to Historic Environment Scotland places.
