This is the Kilmond Scar trig point (311m) near Barnard Castle.

Once parked in the layby, carefully walk West towards the quarry entrance.

Take the lane on the right of the quarry entrance.

Follow the track round as it bends left. Once through a gate, turn left on a footpath.

Keep on this footpath, which can be very overgrown.

The trig is broken and on its side at the bottom of a small cliff.
