Nettlehope Hill

Hill In The Cheviots, Northumberland

Climb up 488m to bag Nettlehope Hill in The Cheviots.

Nettlehope Hill wasn't my most picturesque bagging as it was simply a track through Kidland Forest. But needs must to bag all 99 hills in the Cheviots.

Parking in Alwinton, just follow Clennell Street all the way up to Nettlehope Hill and then take a little version if you want to get to the exact top.

Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Just over 7km and 367m ascent.

To get your fill of more hills on this route, follow our walk to Bloodybush Edge, Hogdon Law And Wether Cairn.

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue pele tower up a remote hill, a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
