This is the Westerhope trig point (132m) in Westerhope near Ponteland.
As you know trig points tend to be high up on a hill, but we also find them in fields, forests or just randomly plonked in the middle of nowhere. But the Westerhope trig point is a bit of a unicorn as it sits in someone's back garden.
Now you have two ways to bag this one. You can have a quick peak over the fence, or if you knock on the door, people have said that the smashing folks who live there let you into their back garden for a better bagging.

Thanks for checking out this place on the Fabulous North! I do enjoy a wander out in to the countryside trying to find hidden gems that not many people know about. You can't beat a rogue Pele tower up a remote hill or a mysterious stone circle or a stunning waterfall secluded in a forest.
