This is the Warden Hill trig point (180m) near Hexham.
From the layby, walk west along the road until you reach a track on your left.
Head along the track as it winds up the edges of fields. When you reach a cottage, turn right through the gate following the PROW. This will head alongside the wall until the path forks left up the bank into the trees.
The path will take you into a field, stay along the edge of the field until you reach the wall, turn left up the hill. The trig point can be found on the other side of a gate on the right hand side.
It is 2km with 100m of ascent to reach the Warden Hill trig point.
